Fogo Island Workshops invites you to participate in Maker Workshops
Offered on Weekends, All Seven Seasons

These skill development workshops are led by team members of our sister social business, Fogo Island Workshops. The workshops take place in the Society of United Fishermen Hall in Joe Batt's Arm, a short walk away from the Inn. On clear days, they can be run outdoors, allowing participants to woodwork en plein air while taking in the expansive and never-ending views of the North Atlantic. Participants will gain confidence using tools and finish with a functional object.
Half-day Spoon Workshop
$200 per person
Spend a half-day materializing a beautiful spoon from a block of wood and learning age-old wood carving and sanding techniques. Participants will leave with their spoon and carving knife, in case they want to continue working on their spoon throughout their stay.
Half-day Cheese Board Workshop
$350 per person
Spend a half-day shaping, sanding and oiling one of Fogo Island Workshops iconic washed boards (retail price: $200 +HST). Burn in your own personal Maker's Mark.
For children 13 and under (must be accompanied by an adult)
$100 per person
Paint one of Fogo Island Workshop's iconic doorstops (retail price: $60 +HST), originally designed for Fogo Island Inn.
