New Year's Eve at One of the Four Corners of the Earth

Newfoundlanders are the first in Canada to ring in the New Year. Fogo Island’s singular time zone means that New Year’s celebrations here begin a full hour and a half before the countdown is called in Times Square.

Welcome 2019 with an evening of festivities that includes poetry, song, exquisite dining, Acadian Sturgeon caviar, and music by celebrated musicians: electric violinist and composer Hugh Marsh, and pianist and singer-songwriter Kevin Hearn of the award-winning band, Barenaked Ladies. Wake on January 1 at Fogo Island Inn for an unmediated encounter with a new year, new perspectives, and the powerful North Atlantic coast.

New Year’s Eve at One of the Four Corners of the Earth is available December 30, 2018 through to January 2, 2019. Rates include all meals; a Sturgeon Academy session and sustainable caviar tasting with the King of Caviar, Cornel Ceapa, PhD; a New Year's Eve Supper; a concert with special guest musicians Hugh Marsh and Kevin Hearn; and planned outdoor excursions.
