Wild on the Hills

Grab a berry picking hat, get outside, and keep your eyes peeled for wild edibles as you join a resident outdoor guide to forage, pick, and snack along coastal trails or the rugged, hilly interior of Fogo Island. On the weekend of October 18-20, 2019, guests will learn about the culinary applications of the many edible plants that grow wild along the North Atlantic’s shoreline: from recognizable berries to vegetation that may appear almost alien. In the afternoon, a Community Host boil-up is on the menu. Foraged plants and berries appear in cocktails and on the supper plate, capping off evenings spent gathering by the Inn’s bonfire for stargazing, stories, and songs.
