Atlanta to the Atlantic with Chef Hugh Acheson, Icon of Southern Food

Fogo Island Inn welcomes back Canadian-born, internationally-acclaimed guest Chef Hugh Acheson from Athens, Georgia to our North Atlantic shores. The tastes of the South come together with Fogo Island foodways from Friday, March 15 to Sunday, March 17, 2019  in a collaborative weekend of learning, cooking, and sharing. The two-time James Beard Award-winning chef, cookbook author, and Top Chef judge joins Fogo Island Inn’s Executive Chef Jonathan Gushue in an elemental exploration of North Atlantic and Southern, USA cuisine. Along the way, guests will be introduced to local foragers, sustenance farmers, fishers, and food artisans across Fogo Island’s distinct communities, learning of time-honoured practices such as root cellaring, bottling, and preserving.
