A Berry Wild Time

The Berry Season tradition of an outdoor fire, roasted salt fish, berry tarts, and strong tea is the simplest yet most satisfying of feasts.

There are over 20 types of edible berries on Fogo Island. And that’s not all.

Rare lichens, herds of caribou, and skittish partridges are just some of what you can expect to find while foraging for berries on the barrens and hills of Fogo Island.

Look out for partridgeberries, marshberries, crowberries, whorts, bakeapples, and blueberries as you gather wood for a Fogo Island boil up. The berry season tradition of an outdoor fire, roasted salt fish, berry tarts, and strong tea is the simplest yet most satisfying of feasts.

The Berry Wild Time itinerary includes all meals in the Inn's award-winning dining room, planned excursions and full use of the Inn's facilities. A three-night minimum applies.
