Wild Berry Picking
Over 20 different kinds of edible berries grow across Fogo Island — how many can you find?
From July to October, the colours of our island shift as berries appear between boulders, along trails, and around bogs. Golden-orange bakeapples, ruby-red partridgeberries and ocean-hued blueberries are just a few of the species you can pick here, along with marshberries, crowberries, and raspberries. Venture on your own or follow our expert guides to Fogo Island’s best-kept secrets: our favourite berry-picking spots.
