A Dip in the Labrador Current

Refresh and recharge in the North Atlantic Ocean

Year Round

The Labrador Current is a cold current in the North Atlantic which flows from the Artic Ocean south along the coast of Labrador and passes around Fogo Island. Every year it transports icebergs from the glaciers of Greenland down and around our Island. The chilly temperatures lend to the perfect conditions for a rejuvenating cold plunge. Whether you take a dip from our island’s only sandy beach, or a secret tickle, our Outdoor Adventure team know the best spots and will be there to ensure there are towels and a hot drink to warm you up when you emerge.
