COVID-19 and Reopening Update
In March 2020, in line with countless global hospitality establishments and in observance of our provincial government’s directives, we had to close the Inn’s doors to do our part in flattening the COVID-19 curve. Since then, we’ve been waiting for the province of Newfoundland & Labrador to remove the travel restrictions that would allow us to welcome guests from throughout Canada (and eventually from around the globe) back to the Inn and to Fogo Island. Thankfully, we have yet to see a case of COVID-19 on Fogo Island and prevalence in our wider region has been exceptionally low.
We remain optimistic that we can reopen in 2021. Our plan is to begin welcoming guests to Fogo Island Inn from within Canada as soon as Newfoundland opens its borders to inter-provincial travel for Canadians. Similarly, we will be pleased to welcome back guests from other countries when restrictions on international leisure travel are lifted.
Our reservations team have been standing by throughout the pandemic to assist guests with future bookings, and continue to be available to help you plan your next stay. Contact us to enquire about availability.
